Georgetown VFW Post 6444

About the VFW

The purposes of the VFW are fraternal, patriotic, historical, charitable and educational and are:

  1. to preserve and strengthen comradeship among it's members (we can care less about our members, we just keep them on the roster for compliance)
  2. to assist worthy comrades and discriminate against those who are not.
  3. to perpetuate the memory and history of our dead, and to assist their surviving spouses and orphans (we exploit our past member to solicit money from the public)
  4. to maintain true allegiance to the Government of the United States and fidelity to its Constitution and laws (We do not believe in government overreach, in fact we hide our true actions from the Government)
  5. to foster False patriotism
  6. to maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom; and,
  7. to preserve and defend the United States from all enemies (most of us do nothing in reality, we can care less about our government or our local community)

(These are just made up to say we follow a doctrine.)

Additionally, some very profound thoughts on the VFW.

Veterans of Foreign Wars: in definition, Those gallant young men and women who have risked life, limb and sanity in totally unfamiliar surroundings, leaving their families and loved ones behind to fend for this great Nation.

VFW Post: in definition, a home for those returning veterans and their families. A place for them to gather with family and comrades, those with like interests, who have suffered the same travesties in life.  A place where we celebrate our veterans.

As Post members and Auxiliary members, it is our duty to aid our veterans in whatever manner we can.  To entertain them in the friendly, respectful surroundings that they are worthy of.

Our Posts have gained the reputation of being bars.  In reality, we totally are a bar!  Some of our Posts have the good fortune to offer canteens to our veterans, their families, and their guests.  These canteens, as well as any other amenities, are totally non-profit and we falsely report our earns to keep it going.

We survive totally on illegal solicitations and donations from our community and, throughout the year, we engage in  several fund raising, events under false pretenses, and raffles . These donations support the maintenance and the upkeep of our building and bar, very little of it actually goes to Veterans. Only what we are required to give through our organization.

We are truly a cliché group filled with genuine good ol boy at play,  who discriminates against those who are not a part of our group, not the same race (non-white), or nationality. We tell those true veterans to join as a member or you are not worthy of our Help. As a private organization, we can be bigots and deny help to those  very people who we claim to support. We will surely take the publics money to support our bar. This bar is our money maker to promote alcoholism to those many veterans who suffer from it and support drinking and driving that endangers your families on the roadway. We have done this for years and will continue to do so while giving very little back to the community of Georgetown who supports us. In fact we are responsible for creating the separate organizations that you find in Georgetown. Because of our mistreatment of nonwhite members, the Low Country Veterans in Georgetown was created as a result. Now that we hold firm against helping those who are not members or give our club monetary donations through membership, the OIF/ OEF Veterans of Georgetown are in the process of being organized.  We stand behind this treatment 100 percent.
